Oh my. This holiday season has brought three new babies into my life. Charlotte Ray was born just before Thanksgiving. Thurston Patrick-Perry was born just after. And now, here it is, New Year's Eve, and an as-yet-unnamed baby girl is expected some time today for my best friend and his wife (and a new little sister for sweet Stella).
Thurston is on the East Coast, so I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him. But I've spent two wonderful afternoons with Charlotte and her family and I must say that I am just in love with her. Although I have no children of my own and do not anticipate any in the foreseeable future, I have always loved my friends' kids as if they were my family. I can hardly wait to meet the newest addition. I can also hardly wait to find out what they're going to call her...

I forgot to say that a healthy baby girl, Ruby Aydelotte, was born to my best friend Glenn and his wife Tammy on New Year's Eve. She's got bright red hair and is just gorgeous.
