Git Yer Greens

I do not get enough iron or calcium in my diet due to having a hard time with dark, leafy greens.  My stomach isn't fond of digesting them, evidently.  I've often wondered if I should just stick a bunch in a blender and make myself some sort of disgusting baby-food like concoction.





So imagine how delighted I was to find that Joy the Baker found a better way with this Kale, Spinach and Pear Smoothie.







I had my doubts as I blended the first three ingredients, but I followed through because I've come to trust Joy.  She's just too cute and sweet and snarky not to trust, right?  So I've got kale for calcium, spinach for iron and some honey, almond milk and fresh fruit to make it all taste good.  My blender has finally earned a spot in my tiny apartment kitchen (instead of being relegated to storage).








Sometimes I stand in my bathroom, staring at the tile my mom bought me in Genoa and wishing I could transport myself there...
